The rules of the road.

These Terms of Use form an End User License Agreement ("EULA") between you and Locked In. They cover your use of the Locked In mobile app and website, including subscriptions, content, and your account responsibilities.

Effective date: May 14, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or using Locked In (the "App") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

If you are using the App on behalf of a minor for whom you are responsible, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms on their behalf.

2. License

Subject to your compliance with these terms, Locked In grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on any device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use. This license is granted under the Apple Media Services Terms (for iOS) and the Google Play Terms of Service (for Android), as applicable.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Locked In. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Locked In offers an optional auto-renewable subscription called Locked-in Pro. The current options are:

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (one month or one year) at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Free trials, if any, automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Refund requests for purchases made through the Apple App Store should be made to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com; for Google Play, refunds are handled by Google.

6. Free vs. Pro features

The App offers free features and additional Pro features that require an active Locked-in Pro subscription. The features included in each tier are described in the App and on the pricing page, and may change over time as we improve the product.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create or upload in Locked In, such as bets, check-ins, notes, photos, and reactions ("Your Content"). By using the App, you grant Locked In a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process Your Content solely to operate and improve the service and to make it visible to the people you choose to share it with inside the App (such as accountability partners or observers).

You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to share it. Do not upload content that infringes the rights of others or that violates these terms.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

9. Accountability features and other users

Locked In is built around shared accountability. When you invite an accountability partner or observer, that person can see information about your bet, including your check-ins, photo proofs (if any), notes, streaks, and missed days. You are responsible for choosing who to share with. Locked In is not responsible for how other users use information you share with them.

10. Intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, graphics, trademarks, and content provided by Locked In, is owned by Locked In or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license granted in Section 2, no rights are granted to you.

11. Third-party services

The App may use third-party services to provide hosting, authentication, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, and subscription processing. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Locked In does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. Locked In is a habit and accountability tool and is not a substitute for medical, mental health, financial, or other professional advice.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Locked In and its licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of the App. Locked In's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms or the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US$25.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Locked In and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App, Your Content, or your violation of these terms.

15. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including if we believe you have violated these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as Sections 7, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 16) will survive.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Locked In operates, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. To the extent permitted by law, you and Locked In agree to resolve any disputes individually and not as part of a class action.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice inside the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
